Case study · aiseed · Representing a Taiwan drone company in Warsaw

Twenty Taiwanese companies came to Warsaw to meet Polish partners. One of them sent a Pole who lives in Taipei.

On 13 October 2026, Taiwan's International Trade Administration and TAITRA brought a delegation of Taiwanese companies to the NYX Hotel in Warsaw for a day of B2B meetings with Polish firms. aiseed, an award-winning Taipei drone company, asked Brainiak to represent it at its table. We prepared, sat through the full day of meetings in Polish, and ran the follow-up from Taipei.

The brief

A full day of meetings, fifteen minutes each, in the buyer's language.

aiseed builds surveillance drones with the AI on board rather than in the cloud. Taiwan Excellence award, cybersecurity certification, aircraft in service at home, and an active conversation with partners in Europe. For the Warsaw mission it wanted its table staffed by someone who speaks the buyer's language in both senses, and who could carry the follow-up afterwards from Taipei.

The format is demanding by design: back-to-back fifteen-minute meetings from morning to late afternoon with distributors, electronics manufacturers, integrators, drone operators and technology partners. Fifteen minutes is enough to open a relationship or to waste one. The difference is what happens the week before and the week after.

How we worked

Know the room. Hold the table. Follow up while it is warm.

01 · Before

Know the room

Every company on the schedule researched: what it does, where aiseed fits, who decides. A short buyer-facing deck written for Polish eyes, and agreed answers to the questions European buyers ask first.

02 · 13 October

Hold the table

Nineteen meetings in one day, in Polish where it helped and English where it did not. Notes on each, cards photographed, a summary to Taipei the same evening.

03 · After

Report in 24 hours, with actions

A follow-up report to aiseed the next day: who came, what they want, what to do with each. Then individual follow-ups in Polish and English. Within two weeks: a proposal from a Polish electronics manufacturer to build for aiseed in Poland, a distributor enquiry for a pilot, and the first Warsaw contact asking to meet at aiseed's Taipei office.

What the Polish side asked

Five questions came up at almost every table.

Polish companies were warm about Taiwan and specific about what they need. The pattern is useful for any Taiwanese company heading into a European trade mission:

01
Where do the parts come from?
Non-PRC content is the first question in Polish defence and industrial procurement. aiseed has the documentation; having it on the table in minute one moves the conversation straight to the next step.
02
Can it be built here?
Under the EU's SAFE defence-financing rules, non-EU components may not exceed 35 percent of component cost. Polish partners want to know what can be assembled or manufactured locally.
03
Can we start small?
A few evaluation units, a field trial, then a second batch. That is how Polish buyers work, and it suits a supplier that wants long relationships.
04
Does it fly legally in Europe?
Radio bands, CE marking and drone class marks come up early. Clear answers here save weeks later.
05
Who do we call?
A contact in Europe, in the European time zone. For aiseed in Poland, that is now Brainiak.
Credit where it belongs

aiseed built the product. TAITRA built the day. We held the seat.

Everything Polish companies responded to is aiseed's work: the product line, the award, the certification, the aircraft already flying, and years of conversations with partners in Asia and Europe. Brainiak does not build drones and does not pretend to.

And the day itself belongs to the organisers. The International Trade Administration and TAITRA's Warsaw office assembled the delegation, recruited the Polish side through Enterprise Europe Network, and ran a schedule in which every slot was filled and every company knew where to be. That is harder than it looks, and it is why the room was worth flying to.

"TAITRA put twenty Taiwanese companies and a room full of Polish decision-makers in the same hotel on the same day, and made it run like clockwork. Our job was to make sure aiseed's fifteen minutes with each of them turned into a second conversation."

Why it matters

A trade mission puts you in the room.
What happens after the fifteen minutes is on you.

Taiwan's trade agencies open doors in Europe that are hard to open alone. Most of a mission's value is decided in the week before and the week after: knowing who is coming, speaking the buyer's language, and following up while the conversation is still warm. That is the work Brainiak does for Taiwanese companies in Poland.

Joining a trade mission or an exhibition in Europe in 2027? Arrive prepared, and leave with a second conversation.
